After weeks of blazing hot temperatures, Mother Nature blessed the runners on the course at Coldwater Veteran’s Park with a cool breeze tailor made atmosphere for running perfect. The air may had been chilly to start the morning, but the fast times helped heat up the spectators who came to the Lions Invite to watch a great meet. The Lady Cavs didn’t disappoint by running their best race of the year and finishing 5th place. They would come in behind Fort Loramie, Shawnee, St. Johns, and Versailles. The meet is setting up one of the most tightly contested MAC meets in recent year. Pacing the Ladies of Coldwater was Haley Alig, who won the race in easy fashion. Beth Honigford, would finish 6 places behing Haley and finished near a career record. The next “blob” across the line were a trio of Cavalierettes, Sara Honigford (44), Lindsey Pease(45), and Shelby Homan(46). The trio would be only seperated by a mere 3 seconds. Not to be outdone, Lily Schoehnerr would finish 15 seconds behind then pack and in 51 place. Rounding out the top 7 varsity spots was Courtney By in 81st place. Following is the results and times for each girl:
