Four hits from Macy Sheffer1 helped lead Coldwater Cavaliers Varsity past Crestview 14-3 on Monday. Sheffer1 doubled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.

Crestview scored three runs in the second inning, but Coldwater Cavaliers Varsity still managed to pull out the victory. O Heckler, B Gregory, and K Small powered the big inning with RBIs.

Coldwater Cavaliers Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning. Coldwater Cavaliers Varsity scored two runs when Sheffer1 doubled.

Coldwater Cavaliers Varsity notched five runs in the fifth inning. The rally was led by a home run by Kendra Clune, a fielder’s choice by Claire Steinke15, and a double by Madison Wendel.

Wendel earned the victory in the circle for Coldwater Cavaliers Varsity. The bulldog allowed seven hits and three runs over six innings, striking out five and walking one.

Small took the loss for Crestview. The pitcher went three and a third innings, allowing eight runs on eight hits and striking out four.

Coldwater Cavaliers Varsity hit two home runs on the day. Clune had a four bagger in the fifth inning. Molly Steinke5 had a long ball in the sixth inning.

Coldwater Cavaliers Varsity racked up 18 hits. Sheffer1, Steinke5, Steinke15, Kennedy Voskuhl, Wendel, and Clune all collected multiple hits for Coldwater Cavaliers Varsity. Sheffer1 went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Coldwater Cavaliers Varsity in hits.
