The Coldwater JH Girls Cross Country team found themselves in the midst of a dog fight for ultimate supremacy at the Fort Loramie Invite where teams from Mercer, Darke, Auglaize, and Shelby country gathered to see who was the best. In the end, the JH Lady Cavs fell just shy of bringing home the first place trophy which adorned a gold-looking runner with perfect sprinting form. Instead, the JH Lady Cavs brought home the 2nd place trophy which adorned the sister of the first place gold-looking runner with perfect sprinting form. In the process of collecting 2nd place 13 runners, hailing for Coldwater, crossed the finish line of the course hosted by White Oaks Campgrounds that had many challenges such as hills, abandoned campers, and allergens galore. The top finisher for Coldwater was Haley Alig (12:22) who continues her impressive season by crossing the finish line in 2nd place. Other runners who placed in the top 25 were Ava Giere (13:00), Paige Ayers (13:15), Carlee Goodwin (13:37), Shelby Homan (13:38), Laci Schritz (13:40), and Lily Schoenherr (13:42).
Other times were:
Lindsey Pease (14:01)
Brianna Keller (14:11)
Heidi Bruns (14:24)
Emma Frilling (14:52)
Hannah Dillhoff (15:41)
Riley Rismiller (15:42)
The JH girls did a great job and will continue the awesome season by taking the tour on the road. Their next stop will be at the O-G Invite where they hope to capture another trophy adorned with a gold-looking runner with perfect sprinting form. Come and cheer us on.
