Boys Varsity Cross Country · Boys Varsity Cross Country finishes 4th place at Districts @ Ottawa-Glandorf

  Place Points
Coldwater High School 4th 132

There is a saying out there that goes “Stay Determined and Finish Strong.” On Saturday afternoon in Ottawa Park, the Coldwater boys cross country team carried this out. Knowing there was a chance of qualifying, the boys understood going into the race who they needed to race after and beat. However, they knew this was not going to be an easy task. The competition was Ayersville and Convoy Crestview. Amazingly, both teams lined up on each side of us. This allowed the boys to spot them early and continually give the effort and determination to beat them. The end result was a 4th place finish, 2 points behind Ayersville, who scored a 130, and 3 points ahead of Crestview, at 135, to finish in the 4th and final qualifying spot. Congratulations to the determination and finishing strong to accomplish as a team what we set out to do, continuing the season! The boys finished as follows:

Isaac Schoen – 6th at a 17:18, Individual Regional Qualifier
Andrew Schoen – 10th at 17:37, Individual Regional Qualifier
Kendrick Tebbe – 27th at 19:26
Jeremy Gruss – 37th at 19:47
Carter Homan – 63rd at 21:11
Anthony Jones – 68th at 21:51
Blake Findley – 74th at 22:24

Congratulations again for qualifying for Regionals. Also, congrats to Isaac and Andrew on qualifying individually by finishing in the top 16 of the race.

Good luck this coming Saturday at Tiffin. Lets continue the post season journey.
