Coldwater won big over St. Marys 7-1 on Monday.
The Cavs got on the board in the first inning. Jacob Wenning singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Coldwater tallied three runs in the fourth inning. Austin Riethman and Sam Broering each drove in runs during the inning.
Seth Miller led the Cavs to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and one run while striking out two and walking one.
Howell took the loss for St. Marys. He lasted three and a third innings, allowing four hits and seven runs while striking out four.
Riethman went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Coldwater in hits.
Bailey led St. Marys with two hits in three at bats.
Coldwater improves to 15-3 while St. Marys falls to 3-9. Coldwater host Versailles tomorrow night for a league game. Cavs also travel to Marion Local on Thursday and L.C.C. on Friday.
