Coldwater managed through a push by Roger Bacon in the third inning where the Cavaliers coughed up five runs, but still won 12-7 on Saturday. Polk, Bullock, McDaniel, and Janzen all drove in runs in the frame.
The Cavs collected eight hits and Roger Bacon had nine in the high-scoring affair.
Coldwater opened up scoring in the second inning when Austin Riethman singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Cavs took the lead for good with seven runs in the third inning. In the third Zack McKibben singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, an error scored two runs for the Cavaliers, Jacob Wenning’s sac fly scored one run, and Jake Hemmelgarn singled on a 2-1 count, scoring three runs.
Cole Frilling earned the victory on the hill for the Cavaliers. He allowed eight hits and seven runs over six and a third innings, striking out five. Wenning threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Bullock took the loss for Roger Bacon. He allowed two hits and six runs over one inning.
Webb started the game for Roger Bacon. He surrendered five runs on three hits over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one

With the win, the Cavs improve to 26-6 and head to the Div. III State Finals tomorrow night at 7:00 to take on the winner of Canton Central Catholic and Ridgewood.
